A House for a Family

This family walks one and a half hours one way to church on Sundays and they are some of the first to arrive. Yoland and her daughter Elizabeth are single moms who until July shared the room in the picture below.

Then, Team Omaha came again this year to build a house for them. This was the 18th house they had built and this one seemed extra special.

Move-in day was full of excitement and tears full of joy!

The team spent a day with their friends at the Zambia dump in Quito. They brought about 65 ladies out to  Pastor Jose’s church and demonstrated Christ-like love to them. It is always a great time and ends with a meal and a large to-go bag of food.

The team spent days with the ladies and youth of the church too. There were times of teaching and loving throughout the trip. The team also put on a two-day VBS program with the children in the Cambiarte after-school program. Relationships were strengthened and some new ones kindled.
